Well, I am new to growing cannabis. I've grown regular plants/vegetables many times but not indoors. So don't flip out on me for making some clumsy mistakes .

Now, I had some old seeds that I had lying around in a little tinted glass pouch thing and decided to try those out first to get the hang of things before my seeds from an online shop came. The old seeds around a few years old.

Now I don't know how fast marijuana sprouts but I've tried 3 alternatives:

I tried growing under some pretty crappy Lights of American grow lights, 100w to be exact. It's basically 5 lights that have 20w each. Now I might be doing that wrong by having too many as they do make a substantial amount of heat and dry environment. (Humidity is at around 45-55% day/night)

I have them on for 24-0 and it's been over 2 weeks and not a single sprout from either of 2 pots under the lights. Next I tried covering them with plastic wrap to keep humidity in and not from escaping from the pot so quickly and it's been around 5-7 days and not a sprout. I read somewhere it takes usually 2 days to see first signs of growth? I may be wrong.

Now it's not a big area, but it seems to be generating enough light for the plants aswell as keeping an optimal temperature of 75-80 degrees F. I also tried watering them once a day, and then had my other pot being watered twice a day.

I don't know what the deal is! I'm thinking it's the seeds but then again I am not as educated in this as many people may be . They're both in fairly large sized pots as-well, not too small and not too large; just big enough for a decent sized plant. I ordered some testing/starting seeds from dr.chronic not too long ago and they should be here soon.

Anything you guys can recommend me to do/buy until then? I'm considering getting a CFL light with a reflector but have no clue as to where to buy this. There are places like Home Depot around where I live and if anyone could recommend maybe a light from their website / online that'd be terrific.
