does a weed plant smell during vegetation?

i have 6 seedlings (started with 10 but 4 werent very healthy) and one plant close to a foot tall inside a very very small area and they dont smell at all even if u put it right infront of ur nose

Some of mine smell pretty bad during veg, alot of times totally different than they end up smelling in flowering. On the other hand, one of the strains I grow has no smell in veg and virtually none in flower, only if you brush against it.
