also like some1 else said the male to female ratio is kinda unbalanced.

or are you saying that women are the cause of most failures in relationships? or that the guys asking relationship questions on this site are just pathetic?

I think that pretty much covers it..good post:jointsmile:

The perceived disparity exists because we women don't feel the need to come on here bitching about our boyfriends to our virtual support group over every little thing.
If you look at the instances when women DO have issues with boyfriends that need addressing, they are pretty fucking SERIOUS issues, not "ooooh woe is me my girlfriend isn't answering her phone".
Oh... plus canncom membership is like 80% or more male...
    Please. Gimme a break.

    LOL

I love these posts the most

On the subject of the abundance of male posts on women troubles:

I have a feeling its a pretty turbulent mixture of men who are clueless to women in general, women who really are a pain in the ass, couples who just shouldnt be together but are too stubborn to hang it up, and men and/or women who have trouble communicating themselves to each other and end up allowing things to build up that shouldnt, things to go unsaid that should be mentioned, and things to be uttered that were better off left alone.

So in other words, theres a lot of reasons.

The reason theres alot more male ones than females ones is simple, and has already been mentioned: Male overpopulation.

(also, during the last couple of years traversing internet forums, I have noticed men are much more likely to just start a new topic, as opposed to searching to see if there is already a similar or identical topic just a bit farther down. Women seem to have more sense in this manner, and I notice women posting remarks on other peoples topics about how they go through similar things, or have found the answer they were looking for, indicating that they searched for a bit to see if they could find an answer without starting a topic. This isnt so much a generalization, as a speculative observation.)

I have absolutely nothing profound or wise or even moderately insightful to add to this thread. I'm not completely sure why you've observed what you have, Void, but it does seem to be true. I think Stinky and Plant nailed it. The ladies are outnumbered 5 to 1 here by relatively young, single guys, and the ladies also seem to be less apt to complain. Maybe because those of us who're in relationships are fairly happy in them? Also, you're not likely to see married and/or committed women complain in public about their BFs or husbands, anyway. It goes against the U.S. Code of Commitment Complaint Protocol, section 2.1.11, which states:

"Married, affianced, and otherwise committed women (herein referred to as Women) shall refrain from public complaints about their partners and spouses as a matter of course, avoiding any appearance of unhappiness in open gathering places, in online Web forums, and in other public areas. Women shall voice their complaints via phone conversations with their mothers, sisters, or mothers-in-law, via email and/or instant messaging conversations with longtime girlfriends, or at small-group happy hours with female friends and acquaintances after at least two cocktails have been served. Women shall also express their complaints to their partners themselves by indirect means, such as sexual withholding, over-spending, television remote-control manipulation, temporary suspension of spousal bedroom access, or by prolonged pouting until such time as their partners issue apologies, whether the men are to blame for said problems or not."

BirdGirl, how right you are....that code was excellent. i for one have sometime problems with a non comunicating man. i have no living mother, no close girlfriends, and no sister, so i do not talk about these suposed problems. i seeth sometimes, i ignore the small stuff and the large stuff just simmers, but i would never mention any of this to my brother or father. Amazing that the code is out there, yet i had never actually read it. Been married or with this man (not a communicator) for 14 years......and in my oddest-strangest-stonedest dreams i can not imagine my man writing any of the things i have read here from men. Go guys...if you feel you want another point of view to your "problems", this is as good a place as any to ask, IMHO.
