I just got it and the visuals are amazing. As I was approaching the city of Damascus the view I got of the fortified city was amazing. The crisp colors and detail of the buildings and land outside the city were beautiful.
The first hour or two is a guided tour and intro. After that you are basically given free reign of the map. The battle system is nothing more than hitting "x" repeatedly at this point, but according to every review I've read, the battles get more complex as you work your way through the game.
Plus, it was great stoned. Galloping through the forest, and than reaching Damascus, was rather relaxing and tranquil. Than I got to spill some blood. First impressions are good.

I also wish they would have left the futuristic/sci-fi element out. I want a historical fiction time piece. Oh well. As of the second day though, there are enjoyable things in this game.
Hopefully, it will retain it's entertainment value for a little while, otherwise I will be pissed. I buy games so infrequently because they do let me down so often.

This is definitely one of the best games I've played on 360. The graphics are stunning, the combat is a new concept and almost all the time the killing cams always feel rewarding. The game is completely addicting and fun as hell while high. For me, it was definitely worth the 60$

Think of it like this, GTA based in medieval times that is pretty much the game or so far anyway. I have also had a bit of trouble sticking to the main storyline, I don't really quite know what's going on. It's still a lot of fun, I've just gone round looking for the Watch Towers and saving citizens.

The game is probably one of my favorite next gen titles to date. I don't think IGN is even close to accurate for this game.
Oh and the game isn't short if you do stuff besides just the main missions. If you work on the side quests there is so much to do. I've only done 2 assassinations and I've played the game for hours and hours now.

I believe I killed the sixth guy last night, so I'm definitely getting closer.
