Should I
Well... the christmas is actually a commercial, cultural holiday... because no one knows for sure when Jesus was born. In fact, far before his birth, people used to make great parties at this time of the year (the summer solstice). This parties were VERY pagan ones, mind you. Then, when the church reached the power, they decided to rename this pagan party, and said that Jesus was born in that time, so the reason for making the summer solstice party was because of the birth of Jesus. This deceit remains until today, when most people actually believes in it.
So, giving or accepting christmas gifts has nothing to do with the belief (or disbelief) in Jesus. Its only a party. If you want give or accept christmas is a choice of yours alone.
In my own case, i never mind accepting gifts... in fact, for me, as more as better, and thats why i voted yes to the poll.Coelho Reviewed by Coelho on . Should I accept X-mas presents if i'm Athiest? I don't think i should. Opinions? Rating: 5
