    First grow, berate me.

    Updated pic of my plant.
She's getting a lot of yellowing on her upper leaves. Is this normal?

well considering that the yellowing is ALL ON THE LIT SIDE, you may want to get the bulb out of the case and centered on the plant first of all

Nothing if you keep burning your leaves.

^^ Ya that thing looks hellas heat stressed, and burnt. Rig up a Box with plenty of room, and use that light, maybe + 1-42w CFL Too.

Keep the lights at least 10 inches or so away from the leaves. maybe 8-9 in your case.

The yellowing. is like stated above, Burnt, or heat stresed. She should be fine when its in a bigger box with the lights off the leaves.

    Looks good.

But you need to cool her down. She's way too hot. That's why she's drinking so much. The hotter it gets the more water the plant will take up.

    Do you have a thermometer?

If you can get the temperatures down you may be able to get more than what you expected.

They should be down around 68-70*F right about now.

    I don't have a thermometer, I should probably get one I guess.

I'm not a hydro cultivator at all but I know heat stress when I see it. When your leaves curl up like that and the tips feel a little rough, that means the plant is too hot and is expending too much water through it's leaves. (water evaporates out of plants) The reason for this is that the roots cannot absorb the water fast enough for the rest of the plant to maintain the moisture level throughout the leaves. Basically it's so hot the water is evaporating out of the leaves before it is being absorbed by the roots.

All in all though, she doesn't look bad. Easy fix.

Just get a thermometer and you'll be good to go.

NOTE- WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO COOL HER DOWN OR REHYDRATE HER BY SPRAYING THE LEAVES WITH WATER. DOING THIS WILL COMPLICATE THINGS.
