if i use the pan and bowl method, how long do i cook it for? some times as with the crockpot?

It's worth bearing in mind that the pan & bowl method is the trickier of the two methods to master (the crockpot is your friend!), however, if thats the route you choose.. make sure you a). keep the temp up high, and b). give it plenty of time to work its magic.

Rule of thumb.. a minimum of 1 hour on a 'high' heat (2 hour max) for the initial extraction.. (N.B. requires constant monitoring to avoid burning).. then follow with 3/4 hours of simmering.

Try a test batch when cooled.
If it lacks a 'kick'.. try a reheat.

i like your receipe, but how can i dilute it? my patients are far more interested in pain releif and sleep. some are elderly and do not want to get at all mentally wasted. any suggestions? please help.

Start with an Indica dominant strain.
Use only trim from fully mature plants.
(Lots of amber trichs.)

This will make "knockout drops?

I used euro/organic butter for my first attempt and was surprised by how quickly it set up after it was taken from the heat. I went by the original recipe(except for the butter) and added condensed soy lecithin from gel caps added to the simmering.....the mmj is Jilly Bean from WA.

it's 2:30 and I have taken my first capsule.. all butter and no sludge...I will be adding it in the future though...I was just anxious to get the first one down....now I have to go stuff the other capsules before Jilly Bean takes me on a ride...I will post back to let you know how it is going/went.

What if I wanted to use a smaller dose of pills but a higher dose of thc contentrate? What would be the formula to do this and is it safe?

One last question, Shouldnt i use top grade marijuana, instead of keef or hash? My reasoning was the weed has more thc compounds than just the Pollen?
