Would having a brick of hash equal to an 1/8th of weed be as bad as having an 1/8th of weed on you? I would imagine the hash weighs less than weed and would therefore be a lesser fine.

I'm not sure that I understand what you mean by "equal". Hash is much more concentrated than weed, and appears much smaller than an equal amount, by weight, of weed. I don't think that the law differentiates, and the penalties are probably the same for both hash and weed.

An eighth means 3 1/2 grams, which is 1/8 of an ounce (28 grams). Whether it's weed, hash, or whatever, it weighs the same.

If you are still talking legalities, the courts don't care how high it gets you.

Some hash is better than some weed, and vice versa. If a type of weed is used to make hash, and it is done correctly, the resulting hash product should be more powerful than the same weighed amount of the type of weed that it was made from.

I've had weed that was better than some types of hashish, but that's a subjective call. Gram for gram, I'd prefer Tibetian finger hash or Nepalese Temple Balls to most regular weed types - and I'm sure that there are people out there producing better hash than I've ever had. Overall, I am pretty satisfied with today's weed quality - when it's available to me (which is not happening at the moment).

if it is the amount of an 8th it shouldn't matter, just depends on where you live. here a seed is the same charge as having up to a half ounce. if you're worried, just look up your local law and make what you carry on you is in accordance to what you are willing to get in trouble for if you think it is going to be risky.
