The future...?

In the near future I see myself going to Graduate School and living in NYC.
In the far future I see myself being married with children and not living in NYC anymore. I don't know though. The future is more than uncertain for me.

We balance on a knife edge between estreme possibilities.

If we can pull ourselves together, get a handle on our population growth and solve our environmental problems before the world is consumed by starvation, disease and war, our future could be glorious.

But I think it is equally possible that we will not solve those problems in time and will destroy ourselves, and the world will be ruled by bacteria and fungus.

Then the bacteria and fungus will fight, and only fungus will survive.

Class warfare, famine, and disease on an unprecedented scale as sea level rises, food supplies fail, and fuel becomes less and less accessible to all but the wealthiest. I only hope that I'm not around to see it.

That's all I see too and I hope to be gone by then.

I fear for the younguns in the family.

How can we get a handle on pop growth when some women see it as their "job", a source to make a free buck?

Disease? New ones are popping up like this new super cold which I have been a victim of. I've been sick over a month so far, in a bed a couple of those weeks being cared for.
