    Should I Flower or Wait?

    These are recent pics,

My babies are 31 days old, and growing under 24/0 600w plus a 175w Mh lights. 10 are w/w, 5 are mystery seed that came with the w/w. 3 of those are sativa dominant looking and acting to me.

I have been doing LST to keep the canopy around 6" above the soil. I fed them 24/20/20 nutes in 5.5ph water last night.

The main stems are 3/8" to 1/2" diameter

As you can see I am running out of horizontal space.

Should I veg and let them go vertical for a week or start Flowering now?

And what can I do to get the 3 runts in the middle catch up? They have been that way since germination (last to sprout)

Beautiful!!!!!!!!!! I would start to flower them after they have reached 10-12 inches tall. They do look nice and bushy!

    Ga Grown!

I like to flower my girls when they are 6" tall. Makes for smaller yields, but a quicker turnover. It is a matter of choice. Remember that the plants will still stretch after going 12/12

Those plants look very healthy & happy from what I can see! They look to be growing in 5gal. buckets (?) and so I'd let them grow if you have the space. You should be able to pick out male preflowers earlier than the ladies, and can thin out the garden out then a good bit then...if you haven't done so already. But especially with lst and plenty of room for roots to grow, I'd try to grow some monsters and maximize the yield!

...and the runts in the middle could possibly double/triple in size during flowering, and outgrow the other 'vigorous' plants that you've been paying special attention to. I've seen it happen, and was pretty blown away.

Do root systems basicly quit growing (expanding); during the flower cycle? Soil grows ONLY.

Asking?: does the root system mostly form during the veg cycle?...which would mean, it be a waste of time to transplant to a larger pot...after flowering cycle has started?

Opinions requested. Bottomline, veg longer, more roots=bigger plants?...more yield?

    I have a good question.

Would it be ok to go to from 24/0 to 18/6 and let them pre-flower and stay at 18/6 for 2 weeks then 12/12?

    Just an Idea.

plants will stretch like CRAZY the first week or two flowering. Im on my first grow right now and tomorrow my plant will have 1 week of flower under their belt and the amount of stretching she's done already has me in shock. Im even starting to get worried that she's gonna get too tall for her cabinet.

18/6 is still vegging. You will not develop flowers until you switch to 12/12, or you plant matures.

The roots will continue to grow until the plant is finished. Remember that as long as the plant is getting bigger, so are the roots.
