    RIP Robert Jordan

Under the pen name Robert Jordan, James Oliver Rigney died (as I just found out) September 16th . A favorite writer of mine and many others, Jordan died of primary amyloidosis, a disease that causes amyloid proteins to randomly deposit in organs (in Jordan's case, his heart) causing disease.

In 2006 he said he fully intends to finish the Wheel of Time series, under the title A Memory of Light. Jordan said it will be a "1,500 page monster" and intends to wrap up the series all in one massive book. Though he died before finishing his final work, he outlined all the main events in the plotline and gave the instructions to his family, who have a team of writers to finish the missing parts. So, thankfully, the final book will be released.

    You will be missed Robert

You're in for quite a treat Cocoflava. The first book is such a good work. They're all great of course, but I have a soft spot for the first. I'm in the middle of the 3rd book myself right now. I DEFINATELY intend to finish the whole series, in honor of Jordan and just because I'm in love with his world.
