I know of a friend that didn't get high off of his first few times so it is possible that it could take some time. I also know of another friend that smoked 3 joints his first time trying to get high but he didn't get high. So it could just be that your mind is repelling the effect of weed for your first few times but I guarantee you that if the weed you are doing is decent to good and you smoke it right you will get high.

Your best bet to reaching a high for sure is to smoke from a bong. Bought ones are better then home made but home made is still better then nothing. Scrap the joints which I am assuming you are doing, get good weed cause it could just be really shit weed what you are smoking and smoke out of a bong.
