the roots are so damn long that they are touching the bottom of the buckets..Is this bad?
No biggie, happens all the time. It would be pretty hard to stop it from happening, but there's no reason to.

As you can see in the pic below ive lowered the water level drastically so as little of the roots as possible are sitting in the water...Is this a big deal?
Well it something to think about. I don't know how big of a deal it is. It is very common for roots to be in water. You can have most of your roots in water, as long as you leave at least 4 inches or so that are not (at the top of course). It's best if they can have some in air, but you don't want so much in air that they get dried out. They need to get wet somehow, be it splashing from bubbles popping or intermittent spray jets, or drip from above, or whatever.

SHould i go to bigger buckets?
Did you say you have 5 or 3 gallon buckets? Either way both are plenty for a plant unless you are vegging an abnormally long time.

The two that were in the starter bucket were the two that the roots were turning brown..i think it was because of lack of moisture..i believe they were starting to die...they are in they're own buckets as of tonight..pics below..hopefully they'll bounce back like the others..
Can't exactly tell what happened from the blurry pictures. They usually do bounce back if they aren't too close to death.
