It's funny how you find a spending bill of 400M and totally ignore the fact that there are spending bills in the billions. Man you people against Paul just try and dig up whatever you can find. This really is reaching.
So why not give this lil' ol' lady, that put her ass on the line, a medal for a hundy? Seems there were PLENTY of hundys available for earmarks.

    Have a good one!:s4:

Because it is against the constitution to use the peoples tax dollars to offer awards. He said he had no problem with donating a hundy of his own money out of his own packet, and in fact he even proposed to the rest to do the same.

Where does it state that??? The Congressional Gold Medal started off with our "Founding Fathers"! Isn't that one of his key phrases?

    Ron Paul's $400 Million Earmarks

Texas congressman and Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul â?? who is campaigning as a critic of congressional overspending â?? has revealed that he is requesting $400 million worth of earmarks this year.

The Wall Street Journal reports Paul's office says those requests include $8 million for the marketing of wild American shrimp and $2.3 million to pay for research into shrimp fishing.

Can't flip a hundy for a damn metal but can spend $400 mill in things that are hidden into other bills. Sure...no problems with Rosa at all. I'm sure he has a dominate handle on the black vote.

    Have a good one!:s4:
Here's how it works, Paul adds the earmarks to a bill that he knows he will end up voting against. The bill passes anyway, and some of the money goes back to his constituents. Yeah, it is playing the Washington money game, but if the other's in Congress would vote against the meat in these bills like they should, Paul's district wouldn't see a dime.

The only way to stop this is the line item veto and no earmarks attached to legislation.

BTW, I loved his example of the Armenian legislation and the trouble it caused. What right does Congress have to condemn actions in foreign countries? For that matter, Congress does not have the right to condemn Rush Limbaugh or Moveon for their remarks.

if the bill is going to pass he is still allowed to allocate funding to his constituents. That same $400 Mil would have been around for someone else to use.
