Imagine, an herb that can allow people to stop living off of the dole, why would society want that?

Hey, Mustelid, thank you for spreading the good word of Herb.

I am pretty messed up, but, due to a separate injury, I walk with a cane because of pain on the left side of my body.

The messed up part is that my right side has been paralyzed before.

But, with some sort of magic, if I take one hit of herb, I am healed and ambidextrous. Two hits erases the pain, and, three (within three hours) turns it to bliss.

The even more messed up part about it is that I am a thirty-two year-old ex-scholarship baseball player (for shortstop).

I'm a patriotic citizen of a country that has fallen into a terrible ogliarchy due to subversion of the electoral process. A while back, I was a caretaker for a person who was so wracked with pain that they were bound to a wheelchair, and so addicted to the doctor prescribed narcotics that they made several attempts at suicide.
