    Starting a Cola

I have 3 females that just started their 4th week of flowering, they showed sex about a week ago. One of them is starting a nice little cola, even though it is the smallest plant out of the three. I was wondering when a plant should start producing a cola and what that production means about the plant and it's development.

Here's a photo of a cola from a plant that is 4 1/2 weeks into flowering. ...and this is a 10 week strain. (That's actually just the top of the bud; the rest of it is horizontal.)

If yer just starting to get buds at four weeks, perhaps you should re-evaluate your growing environment and feeding regimen.

By flowering I mean that they've been on a 12/12 for about 22 days and started showing sex about a week ago. This has been a quick grow.

And by flowering I mean that mine started 12/12 exactly 26 days ago.

This grow is a ScrOG, so my plants vegged to a pretty good size before I flipped them. Nevertheless, it seems that your plants are not growing as they should be, so it might help you if you try to tune-up your grow-op.

Good thing to check out here is to make sure you have no light leaks in your dark period. This is crucial and will cause slow flowering, which is exactly what you described.... a pic would help alot here
