If you could read minds..would you want to?

I'm with Happiestmferoutthere. I wouldn't want the ability, either. It might give me an edge in some situations, but think how much more cluttered it'd make the minds of those of us with that ability. Plus I think I'd feel terribly disillusioned if I zoned in on someone's mind and couldn't get a signal at all--or if I just got violently angry chatter or insanity.

If I were going to have some sort of mind-related acquisitive ability, I think I'd like to be able to tap into the intellectual content of certain people's minds and know what they know. Think of how handy that'd be! Musical and artistic knowledge and ability. Intellectual brilliance. Amazing financial insights. It'd also be helpful if, on occasion, I could do the same sort of tap-in on someone else's emotions to get a better understanding of what they're feeling. These would be at-will abilities. That is, I could turn on the ability to tap into intellect or emotional content of another person's mind when I wanted it and keep the ability switched off when I didn't desire it.

I don't know, the truth hurts as it does. Observing body language, eye motion, and behavior can be adequate enough.

I would use it against our "politicians."

Since I know mind reading really isnt an option and though I really really want to pick up this power and knowing i can't, instead I learned to read body language and all that comes with human interaction.

I would love to mind read! Afterall, like I posted in the "what is your natural high thread" I said that i love to fuck with peoples mind and with this power i could do exactly that. lol.

I might use it for a little bit Just so I can tell when a women finds me attractive so I can finaly get laid and or get a relationship. After that hell no, You know how much shit people say about you on the regular, you wouldnt want to know it even more itd make you insane.

if its the river scenario..no i think that would drive me insane, but if ive got the ability to turn it on and off as well, hells yea.
