not sure if this is accurate, if u plant 4, u will have the same chance of having at least 2 females as if u were to have at least 2males, 50%

50% is a common sense answer and a reasonable assumption for people who don't work with stats much. The actual probability of 4 seeds giving you (2F,2M) is 37.5%.

There may only be 4 seeds but there are 5 unordered possible outcomes each with it's own % probability of occurring.

A (4F, 0M) 6.25%
B (3F, 1M) 25%
C (2F, 2M) 37.5%
D (1F, 3M) 25%
E (0F, 4M) 6.25%

The % prob. of each outcome added together equals 100%.

To put it another way...

There is a 93.75% chance of getting at least one female plant from 4 seeds. (A+B+C+D)

At least 2 Females 68.75% (A+B+C)
At least 3 Females 31.25% (A+B)
4 Females 6.25% (A)
No Females 6.25% (E)
