Don't make him feel like a burden and don't scold him too harshly if he does something wrong. He probably doesn't know anything about toking, so he's aloud to make a few mistakes his first time. You don't sound like you would do that though.

Have lots of great music and food.

First time I smoked weed, I had been doing shots for a while, and it made my hurl. It was the alcohol, not the weed. Ever since then, I've adjusted my habits. I've probably gotten more girls stoned for the first time, and they're all like, "Oh my god, I can't beleive i'm doing this. Then they fall in love with it." Probbly something like 20 girls, and not 1 has had a violent reaction to it.
