Grandaddy purple seeds$?

I have been on my seed journey for a while now. Debating if I should spend a lot of money on seeds as lot of you may already know.My girlfriends brother says he has Grandaddy purple seeds? I told him it is not possibile because it is a clone only strain.This is true right their aren't any Grandaddy purple seeds out are they?:wtf:

you could get seeds out of grand daddy purple clones but you need to grow thousands of plants to find a true breeding male first. so it is possible but very hard from my understanding.

The granddaddy purple is clone only. the only way you will get seeds from a clone is to force it to hermie and you will get seeds but you run the risk that the seed produced will also tend to hermie as well. I brought back some granddaddy purple clones on my last visit from cali that I got from a friend that grows it.:rasta::rastasmoke:imp:

well actually if you hermie the plant under stress and polinate it with this pollen then technically you should get all female seeds and since the original plant had true female genetics and the herme was forced through stress then your seeds will not have herme genetics, they will have all female genetics

Any seeds produced by this will be all female..


Its just biology.. you cant alter male/female chromosomes through plant stressing.. Now if the plant hermies on its own then it has hermie genetics and will pass this to offspring forever..

I know what you are saying is true. But to take that chance is risky to me but Im up to try anything once. I geuss Ill take some extra clones from mine and see if I can make some female seeds.:rasta::rastasmoke::smokin:
