Torrent has ceased downloading, yet continuing to upload..

I'm trying to download something and it's at 90% and today it just stopped downloading...it's continuing to upload fine, and yes I've changed the incoming connection port...several different times...the trackers are active...does anyone know what may be a way to fix it?? tried restarting the program, my computer, resetting router and modem..nothing has worked for me...other downloads are fine, it's just this one in specific that will only upload...

Maybe none of the seeders have any farther than 90%? Keep trying, and don't stop it because you may be the only person who has that far, and if you stop you'd kill many connections..

Is it a healthy torrent? What is the number of seeders?

well there's 93 seeds in swarm, but I'm connected to none, and have been connected to none of them since it has started...connected to 50 peers though..

its happened to me, a download would stop at like 98.5 and it wouldnt move and the same would happened with several other torrents. i think there are certainly some fake ones out there -.-

Did you check the comments? Sometimes other people have been screwed over by a bad torrent and will leave comments. If you see more than one comment regarding it this way, I'd say it's probably the case. I don't know if you did this already, but if you didn't, I would say do it.

I think r0k's more on cue though. How long ago did you start this? You know, patience is a virtue. And just curious, whats you're dl:ul ratio?

I often get torrents of new episodes of Weeds that get an incredible download rate with thousands of seeds, then just stop at 97% and never move again no matter how long I wait. I've come to the conclusion that these are fakes, because every time there's a new episode one of these comes up, freezing at 98%, 97%, that ballpark. Why, I have no idea.

yesterday i was trying to download an Amps album and it stopped going at 94 it was so fucked up. at that point i was like w/e and just moved it into my music folder but its messed up cuz the last 5 seconds of every song is gone. terrible.

Happened to me before too, I think it's just faulty torrents because as you experienced too these is plenty of seeders and shouldn't have been a problem to d/l. I couldn't get it to start again so I think it's good you found another.
