    DIY Ebb&Flow Grow Log

    Two 50-Gallon Rubbermaid "roughneck" containers
    300GPH submersible pump
One duel outlet aquarium air pump & air stones

    Heres my homemade E&F system.

The net pots aren't level with the tray when they are in the system.. I hope this does not create any problems.

The water level will just touch the bottom of the rockwool cubes the seedlings are planted in

I am still filling up my res with RO water... Takes 3 hours for my 2 gallon tank to refill I have a lot of filling to do.

I am planning on putting a garbage bag over the top of the flood tray to block light... also in the pictures the lid isn't on the reservoir.

All in all do you think that this will work?
    Comments, please!

Maybe I didn't look hard enough, but I don't see anything that will stop the water from overflowing the top bucket...

In the second picture you can see the overflow hanging over the top... I haven't cut it to length yet because i still need to test the water levels.

But I mean, this will work ya?

Looks good to me. I might have done a couple things different, but wouldn't everybody? That ought to do just fine.

Until roots come out of the rockwool, you'll want to have the water touch the RW, oh I don't know, a couple times per day. Once you have good roots, I would not have the water touch the RW, but some of the Hydroton. I would use a double layer of trash bags over the res instead of one.

Good luck. Looking forward to harvest day. Please send pictures along the way.
