Does anyone find that stopping toking is really difficult?
Been toking about 3 grams a day without fail for the last 2 years and now I've had enough now and want to stop toking and continue with my gym work.
But I can't get to sleep without a joint its so annoying! I just lay there literally all night long, if I'm lucky I will get about 2 hours sleep.

I can spend all night looking at your avatar
I smoke/eat/inhale/digest weed/hash/kief/butter whenever I want, because I don\'t think what I do is wrong, and neither should anyone else when they partake of the bud.

I don't know about anyone else but at least I don't. And if that's the case, you should be worried. You might be getting "addicted".. or at least, you are letting the drug take over you.

nope, I've struggled with addiction to cigarettes...and that's something that's hard to quit, and hard to fight the urge of doing it...
Marijuana doesn't trigger a release of dopamine in your brain unlike most all other mind altering substances...therefore, it makes it much easier for you to go without it...
you just want to smoke it, rather than actually NEEDING it as with cigarettes or other drugs..
I've quit smoking marijuana many times in my life for various reasons without any problem whatsoever. Sure it kinda sucks, but that's life. It's better than having to deal with withdrawal effects, that's for damn sure..

yeah absolutely. it's crazy, but what I've found is that you're body can be trained in any direction you want. I used to not be able to eat unless I had a bowl, much less sleep. After about 2 weeks of a change in smoking schedule, the body seems to recover and you can go about normal activities without a bowl.
For example, I've been dry recently and was smoking about a pea-sized amount of bud per day. My body is accustomed to taking its first bowl at about 3 pm, but with my dryness I had to put it off until 6pm. I was crazy irritable and jonesing, but after a week, my body learned that it's not getting a bowl till 6, and it became much easier. I haven't gone without herb all day for many consecutive days for a while, but I imagine that my body would refuse to sleep for a while, but would finally sleep with no help after a week or two.
Don't feel like a fiend or junkie or anything. weed is a drug and the body can become adapted to it, but it's no more serious than a coffee habit. I think one of the worst addictions is to food. shabbat shalom

I've been smoking everyday for about a year and a half, and the longest I've been able to go without bud in that time period is 3 days. Kinda sucks when you're broke. Weed has never affected my sleep but if I can't fall asleep I usually just watch late nite TV and that really puts me out. Or you could try one of those ambient noise machines.

Any long term users? I've been smoking weed for 35 years almost every day. I can stop for a few days, but I rarely do. I still run one or two miles a few times each week. I smoke only once a day, about 10 tokes. But that will change to about TWO tokes per day because of some FANTASTIC shit I just harvested (NL#5 and Super Skunk). I am habituated to pot, like to coffee, not addicted. Addiction inplies something madadaptive about the habit. I know my lungs are damaged because I feel a slight heaviness in my chest when I wake up in the morning. I still don't have any symptoms of lung cancer, thank God.

loss of sleep was one of my problems when i quit. what you have to do is not smoke before you sleep, you cant sleep because your body has become physically dsependant on having cannabis put you to sleep, so it stays up thinking its gonna get some cannabis to go to sleep.
