Maybe she's just looking for a friend with benefits. My best girl friend in high school was like that. She had no boyfriend, but had sex with her best guy friend on occasion. Some people can easily compartmentalize sex and romance, if that's what she wants and you can handle it without expecting a committed relationship to evolve then go for it. If you can't handle it and you do mess around together someone will end up feeling hurt after its over with. On the other hand she might be trying to figure out if you want to be her man. Either way you two need to have a serious face to face discussion.

Just have some self confidence. Tell her its obvious that you two have some chemistry and that you believe sexual tension has been building between the two of you for a while now, but she sends some mixed signals so you'd like to know once and for all what she really wants.
