Whenever I smoke out of a pipe, I always get a mouthful of ash at the end. I don't really mind, but I worry I might be inhaling very fine carbon dust, which wouldn't be good...any suggestions on curing this? I guess a bong is best.

use a screen, or put a bigger bud in first before you pack the bowl

Some people call it a nug plug...just stick a bigger nug into the hole and your problem is solved. Small pebbles will work too, but I dont know why youd do that if you have a good nug.
