Pests? Disease?

I want to deal with all problems before they start to take hold, and I noticed these little deteriorating spots on some of my leaves....

- Indoor
- Soil
- Fox Farms Ocean Forest blend.
- 1.5 cups of prilled dolomitic lime to 1.5 cu. ft. of soil.
- Soil pH @ aprox. 6.4-6.6 (LaMotte chem. soil pH test kit.)
- Distilled bottled water.
- Water always pH adjusted to 6.4 - 6.6 with pH Up. (Gen. Hydroponics, Tested with Gen. Hydro chem. water pH test kit)
- 20 Days.
- Fox Farms Grow Big, Big Bloom, Liquid Karma
- 2 feedings, 2 tsp. Grow Big, 1 tbsp. Big Bloom, 1 mL Liquid Karma to a gallon of water. (both feedings)
- 600w MH Conv., 2' 4'' away.
- Morning: 69-73°, Afternoon & Evening: 73-78°, Night: 65-68°
- 30-55% humidity
- 18/6
- 270 CFM Can Fan pulling through Cooltube, up to carbon scrubber. Passive Intake.

Anybody know what this could be?

I don't know, it's a deficiency in early stages though. That's not pest damage, it's too regularly placed between the veins.

Why did you add so much lime? That's a LOT by any standards. Like, a LOT! Especially in a soil that is already prepped and packed for cannabis cultivation. With all that CaCO3, I'm not sure WHAT you'd lock out, but ehhh... that's a hefty dose of ANYTHING!

I'd be adjusting my fert solution up to 6.8 to balance the slightly low soil test. You'll probably also want to do a flush at 6.8 soon too; FoxFarms seems to salt up the soil quicker than other nutes.

The easiest way to stabilize soil pH is to mix in one cup of fine dolomite lime per cubic foot of potting soil. Mix dolomite lime thoroughly into dry soil. Remix the soil in the container after it has been watered.

A couple other places on the web suggested the same ratio, or 1 oz. to every gallon of soil.

I hope this isn't what's locking out other elements.

I just fed with just h2o today, adjusted to approx. 6.3 - 6.4, runoff was the picture above. I plan of feeding with just water every 3rd feeding like justaseed, I'm modeling a lot of my grow on his Lovely Ladies thread/log.

How do u get good clear runoff water to test Ph??? Mine is always brown and mirky, I couldnt imagine trying to see a color after testing in that brown poop water.

that means you need a flush. Your soil is full of toxic salts and other undesirables.

I was actually going to post a question about how much dolomite lime to use per 1.5 cu ft of FF ocean forrest. I keep seeing diff things. so Sticky,(or anyone) 1.5 cups is too much? what is the best ratio then? and i just say 1.5 cu ft because it would be easier to just premix it in the bag rather then for each pot...

My plants are doing fine now after they got 100% h2o feeding. Growth has contined to amaze me and the yellow "streaks" have stopped growing, and actually look like they are getting better.

1 cup per cubic ft. is probably a little overkill when it comes to the Fox Farms like Stinky said, seeing as how it is already packed full of good stuff for cannabis.

I'm going to go out on a limb and just suggest maybe half of that ratio for our soil. 1 cup - 1 cu. ft. is probably geared more towards no-nute added soil/soilless media.

I dont think so. Because my sirt was just put into the pots and has not even had any nutrients in the water yet. Maybee the soil just needs a chance to get properly draining corretly.
