    I keep having heat-induced nightmares

This is rather strange, but I have a thing where if I got too warm during sleep, I get nightmares every time. The hotter I get, the more intense the nightmares.
Unfortunately, I also have a problem where as soon as I fall asleep I wrap myself up tightly in my blankets from head to toe. So almost every night I get too hot, and every night I get nightmares.

Last night I had some especially disturbing nightmares that had me wake up pumped full of adrenaline and feeling mighty paranoid about the dark. Am I ever tired of intensely bad dreams 5 nights out of the week.

Anyway, I was just wondering if anybody else has this heat-induced nightmare issue/if they've ever heard of it. Seems pretty strange to me. Do you think there's any biological or psychological explanation for it? Any ideas on how to avoid it?

What do I know...I'm just a guy on cannabis forum, but maybe it's the other way around? Maybe the more intense nightmare the hotter you get.

No, I only get super hot when I'm tightly wrapped in the blankets like a mummy. Occasionally I won't do that in my sleep, and I have mild pleasant dreams.

Time to put aside the heavy blankets, just keep sheets on the bed, if you need to curl up tightly with something, maybe a couple extra pillows to crumple up- I understand, I totally need that too.
I'm moving this to health. hmm... I'm moving many gtg posts to health... post in health!

You might try getting a floor fan and aiming it at your bed, that might help reduce your body temp even with the blankets.

i can only sleep if i am tightly wrapped in blankets but i must also be freezing cold. what i did was invested in a decently prices bedside fan. i keep it on the lowest setting and it feels like a blizzard when im only 2-3 feet from it. try a fan and see if it makes a difference.

I have a few ideas.. no matter how cold it is outside, you should keep a window open in your room when you sleep, but not wide open, just a little bit ,so fresh air can come in...
before you go to sleep, don't eat meat or anything that comes from an animal ,best is if you don't eat anything 2-3 h. before you go to bed... and make sure to drink water or fluids before going to sleep 0.5L -1L...you will have to go out to take a piss in the mid.of the night ,but that is better than having nightmares..... these work for me...if you still have NM.-s ,then something is wrong whit you...

i agree about a fan i use a shitload of blankets too and i have a fan right next to my bed thats on 24/7. It keeps it nice and cool and then when i smoke a bowl i just point it towards the window so it has 2 uses
