Feet/ankle/knee pain qualify?

I have extremely flat feet which cause my toes, feet, ankles, knees, hip, and back all to hurt because of the strange angle they grew throughout my life, shifting my weight strangely and causing tension on my tendons and muscles. Smoking relieves the pain extremely, and it is also documented that I have a lot of problems throughout my life that would hold up. The problem is I CAN live through the pain, it doesn't immobilize me, which I thought was a requirement for taking MMJ. Would it be enough to say that I can get through the day (painfully) without smoking, or should I just lie and say without smoking I am in constant pain. Do I also need to say that painkillers don't help stop the pain? Or would this be enough?

edit: I live in Hawaii. My brother also has the same "disorder," but is not yet 18, what does he need to do to be allowed to get a card? He has as much, if not more pain than I do.

I think it pretty much depends on your doctor. Try to tell them your not interested in all the nasty side effects of prescription pain relievers and see what he says. It largely depends on getting the right doctor to sign off.

KW is on target here, your best bet is to explain to the doc that you have Chronic Pain, that it effects you daily, and that the side effects of taking pain pills (and their possible addictive properties) is what you want to avoid.

As long as you are not overweight-which could also cause sort of the same problem-you should qualify.
