Well the paranoia thing is common problem for some smokers until you eliminate it or deal with it.

Very true. Bud just isn't for some people, only you know this and have to decide if it's affecting you in a positive or negative way. Me personally, I'll deal with it..LOL. I dont care who knows..LOL, and hell half the time I'm so blazed, I'm in my own world not even thinking about folks.

Eye drops have been mentioned. Breath mints or gum will help with your breath. :thumbsup:

Are you carrying weed with you in public? Not the best thing to do. If you are not holding they can't bust you.

If you are smoking with sketchy people you can pick up energy from them. Be picky with who you smoke with.

Most definitely. Also, smoke in a place you feel comfortable. You have to create yourself your own "comfort zone", or somewhere you feel most relaxed or you might want to try listening to some music you like, and just chill there. Me personally I smoke on the back porch in the morning and watch the sunrise and just free my mind in a relaxed environment, enjoying the sounds of nature. I got a lawn chair out there, and I just sit and..well, space out to say the least.:jointsmile:

If approached by a authority figure or cop insist that you are not feeling well and give then a pained look. I have done this with cops and it works all the time.:thumbsup:

Another thing you can do is embrace your paranoia. The world is out to get you. Feel it totally and realize the man is trying to bust you for smoking weed. There is a war on drugs going on and you could be a casualty of it. :thumbsup:

So make all your actions cautious and deliberate. Avoid making fast gestures. Make your movements with purpose.:thumbsup:

Stoners traditionally have a walk and a look to them. Do not play the part. Shirts with pot leaves when you are stoned is like having the words "Come fuck with me Pig!" on them. If you look like a gansta the world will treat you like one. In public look like a "nice young person", not a thug.:thumbsup:

Walk around straight with your head held high. Slumping and looking down sends a message. You do not want to send that message. Have the confidence of the person who owns the mall or just pretend that you do.:thumbsup:

I deal with the business world every day. None of my friends know I smoke. Even though some of them have never seen me not stoned. :thumbsup:

It is a game you play. If being in public freaks you out get high and hang out a few hours and then go out in the real world.:thumbsup:

trynagethigh Reviewed by trynagethigh on 11-05-2007. paranoia in public hey all, i know this sounds like the stereotypical "does pot make u paranoid" post, but just read on for a little. ive been smoking daily for about 6 months now and the past few months ive noticed that i really cant go out in public when im high without getting incredibly paranoid that everyone is watching me/knows that im high. i cant tell whether i just look really stoned after i smoke (who doesnt tho?) or if im just so anxious that when i look around i think people are just staring at me. thanks for all the replies everyone, im beginning to feel a little more at ease. to further clarify, the only thing that really gets me paranoid is the whole large social setting i guess. i have a goodass time blazing with friends but it just seems like if i go out somewhere to get food or to the mall or whatever, ill start observing things a lot more and it just always seems weird how many people ill make eye contact with or seems to be talking about me. im sure its all in my head and like unknown american said, people are too caught up in their personal lives doing whatever they do to pay too much attention to me. any more replies would be appreciated too, thanks again.

i dont get paranoid after i smoke and put all my stuff away, i get paranoid before and during the most (when im in a sketchy place). the other day i went to subway high and the 3 kids about my age working there knew i was high and its not like they care. most people wouldnt care anyway, and its hard for strangers to know what a person acts like in the first place. when i first smoked i felt like everyone was staring at me, then i decided it was all in my head and i needed to relax, and now im 100% relaxed.

Yeah i'm not paranoid after smoking, but when I have it on me, or when I'm rolling. After it's all over, I feel beautiful.

the only times i get paranoid are when:

1. my eyes are red as fuck. I went to a diner once when my eyes were literally crimson, and i kept thinking that everyone was staring at my eyes and they all knew.

2. The cops around around. Cops scare the fucking shit out of me, and in the town i'm from, they're always on the prowl for teenagers who have been smoking pot or drinking. On Halloween I parked on a residential street and was smoking my home made bong in my car before a party, and just as i was taking a bong hit, a cop car drove by me reaaaaaaallllllly slowly, as if checking me out. When I saw that it was a cop, I flipped out, spilling bong water all over the inside of my car. I threw my weed out the window as well as the plastic bottle and just got the fuck out of there.


Generally when you're in public, people dont assume that you're high when they see you. it's all in your head. a few things i make sure to do when i'm high in public are (get ready for another sweet list):

1. Make sure that I put in visine. I dont worry about the smell as much, because it goes away quickly, but red, puffy or asian looking eyes can give it away.

2. Speak at a normal speed. A lot of times people can tell im high because i speak slowly, like im thinking really hard about what im saying. I always make sure that when im talking to someone who shouldnt know im high, I speak at a relatively normal speed.

3. Wash hands and drink something. Although my clothes dont reek (unless I smoke in a closet or in my car with the windows up) my hands always smell like roach if im smoking a blunt/joint and my breath always smells. I usually drink a couple of sips of coffee in the morning after i wake and bake or I just grab something from the fridge. It makes all the difference when trying to avoid reeking of weed.

4. Make eye contact. If people see that I'm looking away nervously while i'm talking to them, they're gonna suspect something.

Good advice. This is pretty much what i do, except i don't care about red eyes. I just tell them i got 2 hours of sleep last night, and im tired as fuck.

Hahaha I've done this before. Once i was smoking with a friend on a street that has a brook running along side of it, and to get to the smoking area, we had to climb over a ledge and onto the banks of the brook. Once we were done smoking the blunt, we were getting ready to jump back over the ledge but a car parked on the street right in front of us. For the next ten minutes we ran along the ledge and across fallen trees and rocks on the brook to find a way out without being caught, and it was just so fun. I felt like I was James Bond.

I get paranoid but not in public, i smoke with my freinds and they always want to go off and have these "secret" conversations...which just makes me bug the fcuk out and im always thinkin about it, but they always end up telling me about 5 min later so i just get paranoid for no reason, as far as being in public high i dont get paranoid i love going to the mall high i love hot boxing in my car and then going in high i love it all if you can smell weed on me i dont care lol its just me bieng high like tight now.
