150W HPS system for less than $40??
Hey there,
I found this 150W HPS flood light (http://www.e-conolight.com/Product/E...ber=E-HC1H151Z) for less than $40. How difficult would it be to use this in a grow cab? I'm not very wiring savvyAnd is heat at 150 watts even an issue?
Currently, I have the equip for a 30"x20"x72" cab with a vertical 4' T5 fluoro in each corner (20,000 total lumen). I was going to switch out the 6500K bulbs with 3000K ones for flowering, but I am considering adding more traditional lighting. This HPS light seems like the perfect wattage for my setup but the price seems too good to be true. Am I missing something here?? I hope not
Thanks for your input!

That will add 18,000 lumens sounds worth it to me.
Looked at it and there is wiring involved your going to need to mount it something and make electrical connections for a cord
you could also rip the guts out and make your own light. (very dangerous if you make a mistake)
You will need some ventalation to let the heat out of you growing space.

The unit with the link above has the ballast included.
Its behind the reflector in housing.[COLOR=\"Black\"]When read carefully, these statements contain subtle nuances that,

The biggest problem with these units is heat from the ballast, as it's attached to the hood. But with good ventilation, or a little electrical know how to relocate the ballast, it will work just fine.
