    NOOB NEEDS HELP AND GUIDANCE...

    I want to grow to see if I can and get some good bud if I'm lucky.

    Here is what I am working with.
    1. closet -- 28" deep x 32" wide 74" from closet floor to ceiling and 45" from shelf to closet floor.
    Is this space sufficient?

    2. light -- I have this spot light kind of light fixture that I took from my snake tank and the light socket in the ceiling.
    Is this sufficient? If so what kind of bulb should I use?

    I've got soil, a small pot and a large pot. My seeds are currently germinating. I just want to know if what I have is sufficient for a decent grow or am i waisting my time. Thanks in advance.

    you have enough space, stick an air purifier in there too, keeps the air in a small room fresh and flowing

    Your space is fine, but you will need ventilation (some kind of exhaust and a fresh air intake), and good lighting (Fluorescents/CFLs or HID). The light you have won't work, but you can get a 150W CFL from Wal Mart to at least start seedlings. Eventually you will either want to get more CFLs or a single high powered HID bulb or you will have small, weak plants that grow small stringy buds. You probably should have waited to germinate the seeds until you got some good base knowledge about growing indoors, but since I assume they are bag seeds, it doesn't really matter.

    Growing good cannabis isn't something that happens by chance. You have to create the ideal conditions for plants to grow indoors, which takes some work. I would suggest checking out the FAQs and taking a gander at a few grow guides before you get started.

    When you say light, are you referring to the bulb or the fixture? The bulb is just a left over from when I took it off the snake tank. I should have been more specific. I've got 3 of the clamplight fixtures 3 CFL's 32 watts.

    The 32W means 100W equivalent? How many plants are you looking to grow?

    32w = 130w equivalent.

    Yeah you will have plenty of light to grow a single plant. Just get some fresh air coming in an a fan to take old air out and get started!

    wonderful.

    just one last question. will i need to change bulbs if/when they start flowering or will these do for the whole process?

    Well, most people swear by HID lighting (High pressure Sodium mainly) for flowering which will get you pretty incomparable results compared to CFLs, but I remember seeing someone that grew some pretty nice buds with CFLs. You might want to pick up a couple more bulbs when you do flower, and make sure they are warm bulbs or more towards the red spectrum for flowering. But yeah, you can definitely use them, you just won't get the yield you could have with HID.
