SMOKING AND WORKING OUT
yeah....your coach is full of shit, our weight training coach used to be into some hard core drugs and he used to smoke too. He dislikes kids smoking weed and he said its because it lowers your drive and your ability to push yourself. And the reason your strength gain for your upper body is slow is because your probally a skinny guy like me with a high metabolism. So your coaches standard work out for the whole team may be the wrong work out for you. And I dont believe it affects your cardio either because every monday and wednesday i ride the bike for 30 minutes straight and work out. Then every day of the week i participate in normal sports. I smoke 2 bowls every night and im still one fastest kids out there with the most endurance. Please be smart and dont take everything an adult tells you to be the truth set in stone, especially a coach cause they have a agenda, do the research for yourself and find out rather than just thinking about it with his opinion influencing your thought process.

what your coach doesnt want you to know is that smoking weed gives the heart the same pulmonary excercise as a brisk walk or a jog.
I need your advice homes! http://boards.cannabis.com/plant-pro...ays-old-2.html

Try to get your proteins from foods, such as:

although shakes and bars will help, they should be more for adding on top of a proper diet of whole foods. Ideally, 6 smaller meals spread through out the day is way better than 3 large meals.
Milk and peanut butter are slow digesting proteins, so consume them before you go to bed, where your body is in an anabolic (muscle building) state.
Weed won't effect muscle growth at all. As others said, it is rest/diet followed by training. I've lifted weights high once and I didn't really enjoy it.. I'd rather blaze right when I get done and just relax.
Hope this helps man, blaze on..

Where's Storm_Crow when you need her. I'm sure shes got a hundred articles on why this is not true at all.
Obviously this is false. Smoking weed has no direct relation with muscle tone. Period. Since I started smoking daily again (maybe a month ago) I've had a noticable increase in weight and muscle. Whether that has anything to do with my smoking habits is beyond me...but I sure has hell haven't gotten any weaker.

SMOKING AND WORKING OUT
i went from being in worse shape than most people i knew to better shape than most people i knew smoking on and off the whole time. i don't credit weed for getting me into shape just like i don't accept it when people blame weed for getting them out of shape and/or making them lazy.
