what else makes "one wise"? no other tree that i know of, definitley not the apple tree.

the forbidden tree had to be some psycoactive plant. it had to be. and since its described as a tree, it could not have been shrooms or peyote or anything. it had to be weed.
It could have been an ayahuasca vine. Amazonian shamans used Ayahuasca for some incredible introspective journeys at a strength comparable to peyote. It also could have been beladonna berries, and I'm sure there's some hallucinogenic "trees" that we haven't heard of; maybe even some that only existed in the story.

But, overal, I think it's just a story about a magical tree of wisdom.
Gandalf_The_Grey Reviewed by Gandalf_The_Grey on . weed and the bible!!!!!!!!! is weed in the bible? i say yes, and here is where- who remembers the story of adam and eve? of course we all know the story, the serpant tricks eve to eating the forbidden fruit. first point is that it isnt a serpent who tricks eve, its someone with the wisdom of a serpant. or with the apparent wisdom of a serpant. and the tree....the tree of knoledge of good and evil. i think the forbidden tree of the knoledge of good and evil....was weed. it had to be.
