You said the blackness and lack of feeling overcame you 20 minutes later instead of, say, within 5 minutes of your puffs? Did you cough very hard after those puffs, as you said you sometimes do?

Have you ever had fainting episodes before? Ever had instances of orthostasis (dizziness and/or lightheadedness and/or fainting when you stand up)? Are you by chance on any other sorts of medicines or was alcohol involved on your Halloween night episode? Ever been diagnosed with any sort of heart irregularity like an arrhythmia? Have anyone in your family who has any history of heart failure?

I do think this is something you might want to watch very carefully. It concerns me. My husband, who works as a cardiologist, was asking some of these questions I wrote above. If it continues, definitely consider having a thorough physical and check of your cardiac health. Fainting/passing out can be a sign of all sorts of things, from simply being high and hypoxic (not well oxygenated from a combination of smoking and coughing) to having syncopal (fainting) episodes as a result of some cardio-electrical problem.
