Top Runners are NOT "Smarter Than a 5th Grader"!
Hillary Clinton isn't ready to admit she's not smarter than a fifth-grader.
The 2008 presidential hopeful, along with running mates Barack Obama and Rudy Giuliani, all turned down the opportunity to appear on a celebrity version of Fox's hit show, "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader."
"We thought it would be great to get at least one or two candidates that are running for President and see how they would do," "5th Grader" executive producer Barry Poznick told the Daily News.
"We thought this would be an awesome way for them to endear themselves to young families," said Poznick. "Hillary said no. Rudy said no. Obama said no. I mean, they were all scared, which I get. You don't want to come on and say I'm not smarter than a fifth-grader, but I want to be your President. But I kind of feel that if they did, it would humanize them."
'5th Grader' scares away Presidential candidates
Just thought this was a humorous story........

We don't need game shows to tell us how little our politicians are worth.

No politician with a bit of sense would go on the gameshow. The whole premise is stupid anyway, knowledge about specific facts is not an indicator of intelligence; these kids just have the facts fresher in their minds. I'm sure there's many things I learned in 5th grade that I don't remember now.
Any politician could have their chances ruined by gaining a reputation as "stupider than a 5th grader" just by not knowing some random fact. People are generally stupid, and would actually believe that retarded gameshow is a valid indicator of intelligence.

Ronald Reagan appeared on "What's My Line?" way back when he was still just an actor. I don't think any other President or presidential hopeful has appeared on a game show though.
