We have decided to add a HPS 250 Watt bulb, to go with our 6 -26 watt CFL, Spiral Bulb's. In a rubbermaid 22 gal container. We are tying them down now LST. to get them ready for flower. how much more heat will the HSP add to our temps? we are steady at 80 to 85 degrees at the present with the CFL S. Any Input would greatly be appreciated. Thank's.

i would imagine without good exhaust youd be lookin over 100deg

for that to work you will have to have a cool tube, but the 250 is super huge for a rubbermaid. you should have way more than 50watts per square foot

if it were me and you had the 250 i would make me a little plywood cabinet thats around 2x2x4 or so.

    good luck on the heat

250 watt HpS you will fry them. You're better off using more cfls or T5s. HID lighting and small spaces don't work very well due to the high heat the lamp puts out.

Thanks for the info everyone. I guess we will go with the initial plan of using cfls to flower as well. We have some that are 42 watts. 2750 Lumens Each. So we will use as many as our ventilation allow's, and see what we come up with. Should be between 12,000 to 15,000 Lumens in the box, and with some proper light placement it should do something for us right? We will have a cabinet built by the next time, and we will use our HPS then. In the mean time we will keep you posted. and thank's again for the Info.
