1) How long willl they need under 12/12 in order to show sex?

This could come rather quickly, and other times you may have to wait for a couple weeks. I would say that average is around one week of waiting.

2) Is it possible to know within a week?

It is possible, but their are a few factors that come into play. Such as plant maturity. I had an AK-47 clone for a while that would damn near start flowering under 24 hours of light. I have also had some plants in the past that took forever to sex.

3) What are the guidelines for flowering?

When it is time to flower, I double check for light leaks, make sure all timers are working in proper order, lower the humidity in the room, lower the temps to around the mix 70's, etc.

4) Should I fertilize with my bloomer NPK: 0-13-14 when changing the lights to 12/12 or leave the plant to tell me when it needs it?

I would start giving the plant some ferts, but very lightly. Since your ladies have never even had any nutes, I would start low (like 1/4 strength) and work my way up.

It would be very sad to lose your plants at this stage.

5) Any tips?

Just stay in tune with your ladies and they will reward you.

The Student Reviewed by The Student on . ok made up my mind........ i will go on flowering on february 15th, that's in 12 days time....end of fifth week in vegetation.....the ladies now show avegare height of nearly a foot (week 3)....how long will theyneed under 12/12 in order to show sex? is it possible to know within a week? they have reached the internode number 4 and proceed at number 5...and yet do not show any kind of deficiency in any aspect.....have not used yet fertiliser as the first two round leaves are still intact...i guess in two weeks time they Rating: 5
