I have been stoned longer than some of you have been alive. I am currently dry and have been so for almost 2 months.

I sleep when I am tired. I function normally. I contribute to society. I pay bills and taxes. I do not go into convulsions.

I love pot and would prefer to be stoned all the time. But I can function fine without it and so can any one of you.

Now in a month or so I will be stoned all of the time for months on end.

Do I want it? Yes. Need it to function? No way in hell.

If you what to know what addiction is I suggest you hang out with someone who is going through real withdrawal symptoms from drugs that are not weed.

I have seen people vomit for hours wile shaking and can hardly pull themselves out of their own barf. I have seen people go into convulsions and fits.

You have no idea what addiction is.

If you are that weak that you think you need it to survive, you need to quit right now.

Do not confuse your lack of self control or will power with addiction.

Grow up and take some responsibility.
Its mental addiction. Just because there are no physical withdrawal symptoms does not mean you aren't addicted. If, as you said, 'you think you need it to survive', I wouldn't say that was such a big personal weakness, I'd call that addiction.
