VH1's "The Drug Years" on this Saturday!!!

"The Drug Years" is on VH1 this Saturday (11/03/07) starting at 5pm. If you haven't seen this, definately watch it. The first episode is my favorite - the part where they show Jimi Hendrix making his US debut at Monterey; they do such a good job describing it and putting the whole experience into context and then show the first bit of Jimi's set. By the end of it, you wish you had been there to see it. This show is EXCELLENT!

I think the show is largely based on the book "Can't Find My Way Home" by Martin Torgoff, who gives a lot of commentary during the show. This will be next read for sure.

i watch a similar or the same show on tv. Is it the one where the 70s parents are smoking and neglecting there kid in the tub and the police bust in to find him drowned and the parents still giggling. HAHAHA cracked me up good with there stone age acting and representation of a stoner.
