Urine Test with NIT

I took a urine test yesterday and it was coded: 38855N SAP-10+50 W/NIT - by Quest Diagnostics. I had not smoked for over 2 weeks and that was the first time I had smoked in months. I am 6 ft 180 pounds with a fast metabolism. I drank fluids regularly as well as cranberry juice as soon as I found out I had to take the test a couple of weeks ago. The night before the test I took a home test to check if I would be positive, the test showed two lines (which is negative) but the line that would show if positive was much darker. The thing that scares me the most is the W/NIT (Nitrate test) to test for adulterants and supplements to tamper with the results. I should find out either tomorrow (Wednesday) or definitely by the end of the week if I tested positive, or if the sample was to diluted. I am hoping that if it was diluted that they will allow me to re-test. If anyone has any information regarding my situation I would greatly appreciate it.

You should be ok as long as you didn't drink to much fluids the morning of the test. I don't trust these masking agents or detox kits. You tested yourself and you were already clean. I would not have used any additives.

I was not going to use the detox drink but I didn't trust the at home test. I did exactly what the drink said and my urine looked pretty diluted. Hopefully I will o.k. Thanks again.

The home tests are much more trustworthy than the detox kits.

I agree stay away form detox kits, they are a joke! Remember that even if your pee was too diluted that isn't a failure. You will have to retake the test, and i would reccomend quick fix urine if you want too be sure you will pass.

Its now Thursday and still no call so I hope im in the clear, do you think I should be o.k. without a substitute? Its been almost three weeks and I seriously smoked like a quarter of a blunt that I shared with a friend, also the first time I had smoked in months:thumbsup:

my friend the safest way to cleanse your self is to drink alot of water, i never had it fail me yet, you might want to try that route....home tests sometimes are faulty also

Thanks everyone, I got a call from my jobs medical screener and they said I was all good! That was one hell of a week, I wish more people would post after they get their results, they ask for info and help and then don't respond after they find out. I have to say with all of the info on the internet I spent hours researching and it is very difficult to get a straight answer, but I guess the reality is that there isn't one. :jointsmile:

Yes there isn't just one answer. Such a wide variety of cases and body types. Thats why the simpliest fix is subbing. Try to be pre eductaed on how to beat the piss police.
