    Pudder's Probs

Nice man. You figured it out. I am gong on my 4th week in veg and have 9 plants that are doing great.

I of them as of right now is turning colors. Its still growing and its only on the 2nd leaf set that this is happening. Its weird though because the whole leaf is dark green except for the outer rim and the space between the veins. I will post a few pics to show you what I am talking about.

Any idea. I know that it is not overwatering cause I only water them when the soil is dry beneath the surface. Could it be that the salts are building up on the roots and I need a flush. All plants get the same amount of water which is usually around 14oz every 2-3 days or when the soil is bone dry.

    Any ideas???

Pudder start your own thread and list all your specs...your plants DEFINITELY have an issue or two but we need more info (and your own thread......)

    Ps...check YOUR soil runoff.

Looks like they are getting pot bound or close to, possibly overwatered, the built-in drain cups on those pots are a place for moisture and pests to hide and prevent draining, and you need to check your runoff pH to determine the source of your Mg lockout.

ok nvm I see that someone else already made me a thread of my own. Thanks by the way.

Ok so I figured it was lockout. So to be safe I flushed I ran 2 ph'ed gallons of water threw each pot. Should have been done to begin with because I grew with miracle grow soil. So far never again.

Anyways here are more pics of the problems. Since the flush 4 out of the 6 plants shown are doing pretty good. The one with the yellow on the leaves is I think turning back a darker color. I wont really be able to tell till tomorrow. All new growth is doing fine though. There dark green and seem to be growing just fine. I know that the growth of the plants wasn't affected with the discoloration. and it seems to be only on the lower leaves this is happening. I am sure that the new growth would eventually turn colors as well but as of right now no. One of the pics I am showing is of dry spots on the leaves. I though it looked like fungus till I looked at the lower leaves that were completely dry and then compared and both felt like they were bone ass dry.

Ok for the ph it did get a little low. Not to much though. It went to around 5-6. I have test strips and that meter I talked about before. All the digital tests I have seen are all around $50 bucks or so and then I have seen some for over $400. Where is the cheapest place to find a digital PH tester? I hear people saying oh you can get them for around $25. I can't find emm for that. So I have to wait till I have the cash to get one of those little life savers. I know I would feel better if I knew what the ph was rather then getting a rough estimate. Ya know.

I water when the soil is dry and on top and about 1 - 2 inches below the surface. I water with rain water which ph is around 6-7 hard to tell with the strips i use. I use nutes every 3rd watering. This was something I read about growing these babies. Should these be fed more or less? They are in there fourth week of growing and are getting full strength nutes.

What other information is needed so you guys know the whole story? Just let me know what else you need to know.

Thanks for the advice on the pots I will be removing the bottoms here in a lil bit.

One more question are my plants to close together?

After this nute problem is fixed should I start flowering. there are around 10" tall and I have limited space. adn well ok 2 quesions. after flowering has begun and when I find out the sex when should I clone? I don't want to start from seeds again unless its my new strains.

Pudder....Sorry but I don't know anything about cloning. Did Stinky mention something about repotting to larger pots before you start flowerintg? Those seem a bit snug.....

yeah I think she did. the only issue is that I don't have any room until I know if there male or female. when I get rid of some plants I could move to bigger pots. these are in 1.36 gallon pots and are only aroud 10 inches high. they look taller but I had stretch in the beginning so this makes them taller then there supose to be.

any ideas on what should be done. should I start flower and check sex then revert to veg to repot then re flower or should I tryto maybe find a taller pot to replant in for now? don't waana lose emm nor do I want trow out females on accident. no place else to put emm I rent in an apartment builing so letting emm sit out isn't a good thing ya know. I already have 3 more plants on the lower shelves so no room there either.

    ay ideas?

Nah, just leave them in those pots until you've sexed- you are planning on going to 12/12 quite soon, correct?- then repot into a good solid 3 gallon pot. You should be able to get really nice SQUARE (yay efficient use of space) 3 gal pots at the hydro shop, or even from the dumpster of a restaurant.

ok I will do that then. Find sex, re-pot flower full.
