Unpopular Opinions
The Unpopular Opinions thread is too popular.
More women have rape fantasies than you'd think (at least 1/3 of the girl's I've ever known, wooooo, it's crazy out there! or maybe I'm only meeting the craziest ones?)
A dog humping someone's leg isn't funny; that's interspecies rape!
National Geographic glorifies rape in the wild. I've seen way too many videos of animals raping each other, I've concluded that rape is a natural animalistic instinct for some species. They lack higher brain functions and emotions to know any better. It's just survival of the strongest serial raping animals sometimes. Scary...
Honda doesn't make the NSX, that's Acura. The Honda's S-2000 is the awesome car, but the 'cockpit' layout is terrible.
Death metal would sound so much better with banjos heavily distorted.
The only reason Virtual Reality wasn't further developed was for the addictions it would eventually create. It'd eventually get to the point of being just like a lucid dream, stimulating the right parts of your brain, almost Matrix style. Just hook yourself up to a machine for intraveneous food and get lost inside...
Refined sugar really is a poison to our bodies, and should be illegal.
Most other natural herbs are placebos.
If time is not linear, so must be space. If space is not linear, then the "accelerating/expanding" universe isn't really getting further apart... it's coming around full circle for the Big Crunch to create that one big super singularity thing, then another Big Bang will happen... that's the cycle of the universe.
We do not live in a yellow submarine.

RE: NSX- Acura is a fully owned subsidiary of Honda (high end). Look at the progression of Accords and Integras. The same hand is in the design; it appears to get handed down.
RE: Distorted banjos- Perhaps a bit of Butthole Surfers would be in order here...

This isn't really an unpopular opinion, but it's probably important to add here that refined sugar is nothing compared to the evil of high-fructose corn syrup, which is far more damaging metabolically and dietetically. Everyone in our country needs to steer clear of high-fructose corn syrup, and it's an ingredient in nearly every processed food we eat. Our country professes its concern about our diabetes and obesity epidemic, yet our government incents and subsidizes the growing of tons of corn so it can be made into a non-nutritive sweetener. Makes no sense at all.

Yeah! that stuff too, it's such horrible crap. They should be using all that corn to make bio fuel instead. But there's more profit to be made in slowly killing the population...

I'm bored so here are some more crazy ramblings...
Click-it or Ticket should be canned.
Introduce a new law to enforce every car to be equipped with run flat tires instead.
The most convenient, but time consuming, tool to clean our teeth comes built in. It's our fingernails.
Dentists should give you a free surgical stainless steel scraping tool like they use, instead of a lousy cheap regular toothbrush.
Agent Orange treatments should be an option if you don't wanna go through the ordeal of having cavities and teeth pulled. Ok, that's definitely an insane opinion right there, call me a sadist. But having full sets of dentures or surgically implanted fake teeth sounds cool.
Adult diapers are very fashionable. I really do think so, I can't wait to get old to shit my pants in style!
The drive-thru menus at fast food joints should have brail. The drive-thru ATM already does...
At a restaurant, the cooks are the only ones that deserve the tip. The waiting staff have nothing to do with the quality of your food, they just suck up and act nice... that only deserves the same curteousy in return.
Waiters should work for regular hourly wages, and tips should only be given at the discretion of the patron/customer. Still then, tips should go to the cooks.
Same goes for food delivery.
Oxygen is a gateway drug.
The first Hulk movie was awesome, the second one looks totally retarded.
Howard the Duck was one of the greatest movies ever.
Tim Burton should have stopped making movies a long time ago.
A photograph will steal your soul.
An x-ray will give your soul mutant powers.

RE: Dental tool- I have one, and use it weekly. (Daily if you count its utility as a bowl scrambler) and epoxy sealant on my molars- I've never had a cavity in my life, and only go to the dentist every 2 years.

Man, your unpopular opinions are working for me today!
I've got another restaurant one- I support many many levels of management at box restaurants. If the management (and corporate) level at chain restaurants were eliminated, they'd be able to sell their crappy pre-fab food at competitive prices, and hurt the local places even worse than they do already. So keep those big unjustified salaries going, folks!
Waitstaff at chain restaurants is primarily hired for their *cough* flair. C cup or above. Don't you want to EXPRESS yourself? :wtf:

Anorexia is not 'pretty'.
People who use pot as an excuse for laziness or stupidity should pay an extra $100 per oz.
Drinking isn't fun.

Seconded! These huge crowds of hysterical screaming dimwits makes me realize why human progress has been so slow.

Conservatives are sheeple who think Liberals are sheeple. Liberals are sheeple who think Conservatives are sheeple.
Replacing letters with numbers is bloody stupid, and makes it harder to read, not easier just because it's shorter. God I h8 people who do that.

Murphy's Law I tells ya! 10 minutes after writing the above post, I turned on the tv and lo and behold, a movie about Hunter S. Thompson played by Bill Murray is on. It's pretty decent too!

He also was a great writer in terms of his use of language. That's really the best thing about him. I enjoy reading Thompson more for the WAY he says things than for WHAT he says. This is why the Fear and Loathing movie did not work for me at all. Seeing the scenes acted out is really kind of sad and depressing. It just seems pathetic. All the language is gone, and it really loses all the humor in the interpretation.
The other thing about Thompson is that he opened up a new way for journalists to present information. Conventional journalism is supposed to take the journalist out of the story. A journalist is supposd to present the facts and let them speak for themsleves, or at least make clear the distinction between raw data and his or her own perspective on a story. Thompson knew that there was really only so far a journalist can go in keeping his or her perspective out of a story, so he just threw that idea out the window. Thompson just reported his own subjective experience as fact. I think probably a lot his drug experiences were a lot less extreme than what he reported, and the things that happened while he was loaded were not as strange as he described, but they SEEMED that way to him, so he reported them as fact.
Where the Buffalo Roam! I enjoyed this movie a lot more than I enjoyed the Fear and Loathing movie. It's not an accurate adaptation of any of his books --- it's more of an "inspired by" kind of movie. But the humor is better. In a way it is truer to the HST style than the straight adaptation of Fear and Loathing. It's funny that you see a lot of "quotes" by HST on this site that were actually drawn from this fictional movie --- I don't think he ever actaully said most of the things attributed to him from this movie.
