I don't drive high. I did when I was a lot younger, but I don't now. And I don't believe people who say they can drvie just fine when high. Weed definitely alters your sense of time/space/distance, and it slows your reaction time, and that makes driving unsafe.

Just a few days ago I was going down the road and come up on some ass who is driving way under the limit. There's a green light ahead, and I want to make it, but this guy is just crawling along and we catch the red. At the light I realize it is not some old dude, it's four young guys. The light turns green, and we enter a semi-confusing construction zone where they have temporarily moved two left-turn lanes over from where they used to be. Instead of picking one or the other, he coasts right down the middle for a ways at super slow speed, so now he is blocking two lanes of traffic, not just one. At some point he realized he is in the middle of two lanes and pulled into the right one. At the next light the left lane is nearly empty, and the one he is in is not moving and cars start passing by in the left. At some point he decides he is going to pop into that left lane and it is right in front of someone who has to jam on his brakes! That freaks him out, so he jerks back and nearly hits another car! Now both lanes are moving, and while he's going around the left turn he drifts from his lane back into the other one, again! Now we are on a three lane road, he's still drifting along under the limit, and I decide I want to get around this bastard, so I pull into the lane to his right, and as I pass by I keep a good eye on him. All four of them looked totally blazed, and the front passenger was crouched down smoking as I went by! Who knows what else they had going on --- maybe the driver was drunk too, so maybe it wasn't just weed. But I remember from years ago things like stopping at a stop sign then just waiting and waitng, wondring when the light would change, then realizing, "Oh shit, this isn't a light, it's never going to change!" Things like that are not safe.

Cannabis effects people differently, there's a youtube video about smoking and driving done by the british and it said 1 spliff did not sufficiently impair ones motor skills when driving. I prefer to smoke and walk though, i love my high walks, praise Jah, i do.

Before we found a house to smoke at, me and my friends would always hot box and drive around hitting blunts. I know some people may call bullsh!t but I think I drive just as well stoned. I'd much prefer smoking at a house though, or even in a park or something, just cause I feel waaay less paranoid.

I absolutely do not approve of driving stoned, but I do have some stories from long ago when I used to drive around stoned. One time my brother and I were driving from San Diego to Humboldt, and we held off smoking until we came off the Grapevine hill down into the San Joaquin valley. From there, it's a couple hundred miles on I5, straight as a ruler, so pretty easy to drive stoned. As soon as we get off the hill, we spark up the bong and pass it back and forth a few times. After awhile, I start seeing all these orchards and other agriculture I don't remember from that stretch of 5. After awhile longer, we come to a trafiic light! Where the fuck are we? We are supposed to be on the biggest, longest, straightest, easiest freeway in all of California! Somehow we had got off on old highway 99 instead of staying on 5. Fortunately, they go pretty much the same way, and we cut back over near Sacramento.

Well if thems your rules, then thems your rules. I guess if people are hanging out w you to smoke they know that is what is required and if they refuse to comply then dont smoke w them.
Personally, I been smoking for over 20 years and am very careful but I'm also a responsible grownup & know when I can & can't drive. If I feel like it I drive high sometimes and maintain just fine tyvm.

Just because you can't drive high, doesn't mean no one else can either. :hippy:

One thing about driving under any circumstances is that you could be pulled over or get into an accident, whether you are high or not. You could just make a mistake or it could be the other driver's fault. But if you are high or have weed on you, it will turn into a big deal. If someone gets injured, and you are high or have weed on you, you stand a good chance of serious trouble, whether it's your fault or not.

I've been pulled over high/w weed in the car. Cops had no reason to suspect anything, I got my warning and moved on.

Hide your weed. Dont let yourself or your vehicle reek of weed. Don't be a dumbass. Be polite to the cops and get the hell out of there and most likely you will be ok.
