Every group has their own rituals. One of ours is, just before you light up, your keys go into the book safe and you don't get your keys back until the high has worn off 75% and you've eaten.

All the guys in our group are 35 to 45 years old. At first they thought I was a little paranoid, but they know I'm (partialy) right.

Yesterday one guy didn't want to put his keys in the book. He refused. We argued for about 10 minutes, then one guy lights up and passes and then we're all pissed about the key rule.

Needless to say the drama/aggravation before the spark up didn't give us a pleasurable high. Anyway...

After 15 minutes, before the pizza & crap could be delivered the guy who didn't put his keys in the book is leaving. We tried to stop him and he said, "Dude, look at you. You're almost 40 years old and you're acting like a little bitch! Be a man! I've got somewhere I need to be and I'll see you pussies later."

I don't know about the rest of you, but when my high starts to taper off, I can almost instantly kill it by eating junk food. This doesn't work while high, only when it starts to taper off. I don't drive high. I lost one friend to drunk driving and I take it very seriously.

Later that night, I get a phone call. "Tone, I've been arrested for DUI." The fucked deserved it. He got pulled over about 4 blocks from my driveway. I went to post bail this morning (didn't go last night because he called me a pussy) and his wife already got a lawyer.

DUI = Driving Under the Influence Influence can be weed, vallium, sleeping pills, beer, etc.

I talked to his wife, she said the cop pulled him over for running a stop sign. When pulled over, the cop said he smelled marijuana. The cop asked to search, my friend said yes, cop found nothing. Did a field sobriety test and he failed miserably. He blew a perfect 0.0 but because he could not walk straight or communicate properly he was arrested for DUI.

This changes things in our group considerably.

A: Living in California, the state with the most fucked up laws, I will not allow the gathering at my office any more. In CA if you get drunk at a friends house, and you get into an accident, the friend who hosted can be liable. Don't know if the same thing works for weed, but not going to take any chances. Sure we're all friends but that can change in a second.

B: The key rule will be strictly enforced.

C: Fuck I'm high right now. Fucking Cheez-It crackers are awesome.

Part of me is glad he got pulled over. If he was high enough to run a stop sign in my neighborhood (lots of cops), maybe it saved his life or the life of somewon else.

Why does Being safe make you a pussy? I've been called a pussy all my life, because I was always careful. I'd rather be a pussy then get used like on in jail/prison.

When I buy weed (with my recomendation) I keep it in the trunk, my cards and doctors written recomendation in my pocket and I obey all traffic laws. I might just speed a little not to look to careful, but I'm really careful.

Now that I found out deliveries are available, even better. Just like in "Half Baked", knock at the door and nothing to worry about.

After I smoke, I wait until high wears off, a little visine, a little cologne, wash my face, comb my hair, a few crackers to help wear off the high and I'm good as new.

I don't mess around.

I ripped the hell out of a 6footer and then had to move out of my house right afterwards, i felt like i got high for the first time again that shit was crazy

well there is this guzeebo (sp?) at this harbor that I like to go and smoke at when its dark and that place is so chill especially when your hittn' the blunt or your piece. Its wonderful to go and get stoned then just chill.

I agree with you man its always better to be safe then sorry, even though i feel i have mastered driving while high and have been pulled over and given a warning for speeding (32 in a 30) while high i dont take chances. Everyone has to wear their seatbelt once in the car, all weed paraphanalia ( that looks wrong ) goes in a small locked box in the trunk and everyone must apply a couple drops of visine before we leave the driveway, thats only if we have to leave before the high wears off I usually wait about 2-3 hrs before leaving anywere when i get high. I worked hard for my Drivers License and i dont plan on loosing it cuz i got fucked up.

Sounds to me that he was more than just "on marijuana". I have yet to see any of my friends or family I have smoked with not be able to handle themselves for the most part. The angry, ornery behavior could have been from other drugs, or a shitty even that happened to him recently.

I guess if you were smoking hash oil then that would be powerful enough...but jeeze that sucks, and I am sure he learned his lesson.
