    when to start adding nutes

    Hello all,

I am attempting my first grow and was looking for a bit of advice.

    First the setup,
Im using a 125w ecolite grow, about 3 inches from the top of the plants.
Its in an enclosed cabinet, temps around 26-28.
    Grow medium is Bio Terra.

Basically, i need to know if there are any signs that the plant needs its first nutes. I have previously over fed them and they got burnt, a couple lost the first 2 rows of leaves, and another just went bright yellow.
I flushed them a cpl of times and then fed with ph6 filtered water, which has allowed them to recover and start growing well.
They started in 4" pots now in 3.6 litre pots (repotted 9 days ago), and then again fed with ph6 filtered water.
They continued to grow and look very healthy, all leaves green (except 1 plant from previous burn, and 1 has yellow bottom leaves).
They now have appeared to slow in growing, and I really dont want to burn them again, so when should I start adding nutes.

They were planted in soil and put under light 5 weeks ago. They are only about 4inches tall.

The seeds were found in some decent weed. Dont know yet if male or female.

Also, I have acquired some rather nice female cuttings that have just started to grow.

I'll try and get pics up.

Any advice appreciated and thanks for all info on this forum, its been a godsend.

    when to start adding nutes

    Any one got any suggestions?
I have given them a quarter strength biobizz grow solution, with ph6 and no signs of burn yet.

The ph may be high in previous post as brita filter was on last legs, and when i originally tested filtered water, a newish filter gives 5.9-6ph, and a filter on last legs (a month old) gives 7ph.
    New filter installed.

I have concerns as a friend is doing the same as me, same nutes and soil (we sharing), his own envirolight, and has also experienced early burn and slow growth.

Any one used this bio terra professional with any luck, as we suspect that may be the prob.

Add nutes after the first 2 weeks of grow or until the plants are 12" tall...

    Keep Your Ph between 6.6-7..

Looks like overwatering, check the problem chart...

Is that a mirror you have in your set up,

They cause hotspots and will burn your plant.

Your plant looks the same as mine did.I had overwatered and nute burned.

When i stoped giving them water and nutes they improved drastically.

You can feed when plant is 12 inches tall or when there are 5 sets of true leaves.

Remember to start on 1/4 strength

    Thanks for replies.

They are about 5 weeks old. I would say they have 4 sets of true leaves but they are about 5 inches tall.

I am trying with the ph, i use filtered water which is 5.9-6.0, but i did let the cartidge get a bit old. Thats raised it 7.0, the same as our tap water.

No its not a mirror, its mylar.

I tend to water every 3 days, but I have not had the soil completely dry out.
