watering outdoor plants ?

bicflikr Reviewed by bicflikr on 11-14-2007. watering outdoor plants ? im going to grow some plants outdoor next year will i have to water them ? it aint really safe to keep going there and its a long way to take water could i just plant them and hope for the best ? as any one ever had a crop from plants just planted and left for the summer and then just return for them in autum ? if u put natural dead plant matter like grass or leaves over the soil it will hold moisture in for much longer

if you wanted higher tech, you could install small solar panel and some form of pump system to run a cup of water to each plant on a day or bi-daily basis
