    Burn down your bridges

my last breaths before my internet connection is gone...not forever..just gone for awhile.

I never really burn down my bridges..I usually let them stand...tattered and damaged, but never destroyed..

You are then setting up a challenge for yourself when you decide to cross back over them someday. It suits your style.

    Burn down your bridges

    depends on the bridge
if the bridge leads to a bad place and i vow never to return i will destroy the bridge
if the bridge is old and not very interesting i will pay lil attention but still visit the bridge
i like bridges that when you look at them they are beautiful and high so i can climb up on
Love is patient and kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. Love is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres

I prefer that as well...not to burn bridges. People and situations change. Sometimes it can't be helped though.

    Burn down your bridges

As Ive matured Ive come to like bridges that are relatively safe, strongly bonded, and postive.
Like a good bridge you'd have to take to work every day.
Ive quit completely visiting some because of their notorious affiliation of fucking up traffic when your using them, and not using them, 'because your not using them'.

    Burn down your bridges

    I burn most bridges completely.

It is more of a tactic of eliminating my retreat route. I do not advise people to do this but it has worked for me.

I have to move forward and I cant do that if I am looking back.
