Not sure if its too early to tell, help please?

im having trouble id'ing one of my plants it doesnt have balls but there isnt any little white hairs ether it looks like a new shoot rather than male or female parts, does any one know what it might b?

Im new to growing and i picked up a plant from a friend of mine, im not sure if it was a clone or from seeds, now im not to sure if the plant i have is male or female.
