Anyone have any experience/info growing Dumpster?

I had a lone male Dumpster a while back, and he jizzed on my girls, they spat seeds, I germed them, and now I've got crosses. I noticed the lone male grew funny...it was sensitive, and the leaves had a tendency to curl/twist. Since I've never grown it, or knew anyone who had, I don't know if this is normal or not. I thought I was just stressing it out. Now I'm noticing the crosses doing the same thing. It's primarily indica. It's not a severe twist, but it is happening on every single plant. No pics yet.

My mazarxhash#1 are growing under the exact same conditions, and do not exhibit this tendency. It has something to do with the Dumpster genetics.

    Any guesses?

That's what I thought when I had the lone male, but I've got these new babes in a room that doesn't get over 72 F. They're under cool white shoplights too. As a matter of fact, I'm having a hard time keeping the temps up high enough. They are only 16 days from seed. They've been curling from the get go, right from the first true leaf set.

A friend of a friend just started some clones of dumpster and he was telling me the same thing about his, the leaves were twisted and slightly curly while still being a very healthy plant otherwise. He grows in dirt, and he told me that the problem went away after he started spraying with water daily. My guess is that it hates low humidity, more so than other strains.
    Just my 2 cents....

Also, there IS one guy here who grows it...He started a thread in the Strains forum a few weeks ago about it. May want to search?

Are you sure you had a dumpster male? It was always clone only until I got one to seed by streessing the plant. All the seeds Are female (I Think, 6/6 have been female).

I have been growing Dumpster for the past 5 years. The squirrley growth will grow out. Its a very great fuckin strain my personal fav.. It is a very hardy plant , almost impossible to kill, I yeilded 9.5oz of one last harvest and 9oz of of the other last harvest( I only grew two)

E-mail me [email protected] maybe I can send you some pure 100% dumpster seeds.

id agree on the humidity. its worth a try to get a spray bottle, fill it and put a little liquid fert in it even (very little) and just soak the plants a few times a day. at the least its a little extra water, adds humidity, and gives the plant some stress from weight and the spay blast

Dumpster clones have a tendency to do this when cloned. It will grow out. Its just the plant reverting back into veg.. Your friends problem didnt go away because he started spraying it, its because enough time had past while he was spraying it for the plant to go back into veg completely and grow a few nodes taller.

    Thanks for the great answers!
Yeah, I know that usually Dumpster is a clone only cultivar, but I am friends with some Hookahville people, and one of them did the same thing, stressed his to get seeds, and gave me a couple. Literally. As in two. One rolled off the kitchen counter and down the heating vent, and the other one I germed.

Okay, well thanks to you all, I won't stress. I'll just keep an eye on them.

NOOOO!!! Dumpster loves stress, I've been growing the same strain for 5 years and it seems the more I beat it around the better the end results, the yeild is more and has better resin production

When I used to stay in Columbus I would off load a ton of Dumpster at hookahville. If you need some pure 100% Dumpster send me an e-mail.

Shit we might live close together. I live a lil ways up 77 from where it crossess 70 in Cambridge. Where you stay?
