    Question on Cal Mag Plus

I just use plain old tap water. PPM are 170. Do I need to use Cal Mag per instructions on the bottle? From what I undderstand its only for those that use RO or distilled water but I also read that its good to have in case you notice a cal/mag defeciency. Would it hurt the plant using cal mag in my case given the ppm of my tap water.

    Peace

    Question on Cal Mag Plus

I would only use it in your case if I could see signs of an actual deficiency (and had ruled out other problems such as ph issues)

    Question on Cal Mag Plus

Do they treat your tap water with clorine? If so be carefull, can cause problems with hermies(let it sit overnite for the cl to evaporate). WH is right watch the ph, then keep an eye on the leaves for "mag spots".

chlorine doesn't cause 'hermies', or do anything harmful to your plants ... it does kill beneficial organisms in the soil, or solution, but does not affect your plant otherwise ... as you stated, just leave it out, the gas will escape (no worries) ... :smokin:

    Question on Cal Mag Plus

    Yo Bs...........

Right now I just sprouted a Jack Herer strain from Alien. Its already seeming like its a very sensitive strain so I dont wanna jack Sh*T up by giving it a dose of cal mag juice. I have no idea how the waters treated here I never drink it..Only purified water for me folks.

There is some cat on here that uses the cal mag through veg and says he has never had any probs. Anyway I think I will just stick with the 3 pt AN with big bud enhancement towards the end then flush with floakleen and call it good. I have had great sucess my first grow which was Alien NLX some freebs but turned out really not to bad
Difinately a step up from the brown scwagggg! A few notches I might add.

    :stoned: Peace :stoned:

    Question on Cal Mag Plus

If you used your tap water on your previous grow, how did those plants look?

I got in the habit of using calmag when I was using RO water and I use it now, in smaller amounts, just because my plants are healthy and I want to keep them that way.

Now I use calmag with my tap water. But I cut it down to 1ml/gal of water. Even when I was using RO water, I only used 3-4ml/gal of water. Personally, I think a lot of the additive manufacturers determine the maximum amount a plant can stand and use that for recommended dosage, so I usually cut down a little from their recommended dosage.
